Has been working in film criticism for over 30 years, contributing to newspapers, radio stations, and television networks. A member of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), he has served as a jury member and correspondent at festivals in Brazil and abroad, including in Cuba, Miami, Mexico, Cannes, and Berlin. From 2015 to 2020, he held the position of Curator at the Cinematheque of the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio, where he played a key role in revitalizing the space with a program focused primarily on Brazilian cinema, while also standing out for international events, such as organizing the 2018 visit to Brazil of cinematographer Vittorio Storaro, a three-time Academy Award winner. He was the curator of the 53rd and 54th editions of the Brasília Festival of Brazilian Cinema. He is currently a curator for Festival do Rio and the Inffinito Film Festival, held in Miami and New York. He is the author of the fiction book Até o Último Filme and the biography A Mulher que Enfrentou o Brasil – A Arte e a Coragem de Niomar Moniz Sodré Bittencourt.
