Vinicius Amorim is a photographer and visual artist. In Diaphragme, he casts his disruptive gaze upon six feature films and one short film that are part of the Competitive Screenings of the 29th Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival, taking place from September 3rd to 13th in Miami.
"Crossing the territory between image and matter, Vinicius Amorim moves between photography and painting, creating a visual poetry that oscillates between the real and the abstract. His gaze, trained by light and photographic composition, expands onto the canvas, where gestures, textures, and colors build narratives that go beyond representation.
In photography, he captures fleeting moments; in painting, he materializes atmospheres. His visual art arises from the desire to explore what the lens cannot reach—sensations that dissolve into layers, traces of memory, silences that take shape in color. Each brushstroke carries its own pulse, a vestige of the invisible that inhabits time and space.
Between the figurative and the abstract, Vinicius creates passages—visual portals that invite the viewer to cross into his inner landscapes. Whether through the precision of the image or the spontaneity of paint, his art reveals a commitment to sensory experience, where light and matter meet to tell stories that require no words."
