SYNOPSIS
Within The River, Among the Trees is a 70-minute long documentary made by the filmmaker Jorge Bodanzky. It is the result of an expedition to the Alto Solimões region, where video, circus, and photography workshops were ministered to the riverside communities inside the Indian reserves. The film is a result of these workshops, using this recently learned technology, with an insider view aiming abroad, without interpreters. From the heart of the Amazon to the world, we come to learn how these people live, in the hardest to reach areas of Brazil. What they think, what are their dreams and hopes and how they solve the problems they face in order to live within the river, amongst the trees.
