Maria ArleteGonçalves holds a degree in Journalism and Advertising from the School ofCommunication at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She is Oi’sFuturo Cultural Director, in charge of Oi’s Social Responsibility Institute, and Project Manager of Oi’s Program for Cultural Sponsorships, which encompasses projects from all Brazilian territories. Gonçalves is also responsible for cultural centers managed by OiFuturo, focused on art and technology and the Museums of Telecommunications in the States of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. Founder of OiKabum! – Schools of Art and Technology with branches inRecife,Salvador,Rio de JaneiroandBelo Horizonte. She also has an MBA in Management of Service Companies by the Economics Institute at UFRJ.

Michael Dagnery

Dagnery has developed and executive produced various productions, such as Unplugged: Camila (2011) and Unplugged: Julieta Venegas (2008 Latin Grammy winner), He has also executive produced various projects, such as MTV at the Movies and MTV at the Playground, featuring Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Marilyn Manson and Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. Previously, Dagnery was Vice President of Production for MTV Networks Latin America, where he co-produced the network’s flagship award show, Los Premios MTV (2003 - 2009). Dagnery lived for 23 years in Los Angeles, where he began his career as producer/director/editor on the highly rated and Peabody Award-winning series Biorhythm for MTV US (featuring Madonna, Jim Carrey, Drew Barrymore, Lenny Kravitz and Janet Jackson, among others). As co-founder and president of There Goes The Neighborhood Productions, he produced the National Council of La Raza's Alma Awards (FOX/ABC - 1995-1999).

Patrick de Bokay

With over 30 years of experience in the film industry, media and advertising world, Patrick de Bokay possesses a cornucopia of business and creative film industry knowledge that fuels his passion and dedication in realizing the dreams and visions of independent filmmakers. He has held many impressive positions throughout his professional life: Associate Director for Ted Bates Advertising, Marketing Director for Twentieth Century Fox Theatrical in Paris, and Vice President International Marketing for Turner Entertainment to name a few. As an independent consultant he has worked with clients such as Miramax, and Sony Pictures, among others. He has distributed and marketed over 500 films, brands and properties, implemented local and worldwide campaigns with global advertising budget in excess of $1 Billion. In the film festival circuit, he was the Executive Director of the inaugural Bangkok International Film Festival, Executive Director for the 25th Edition of the Miami International Film Festival, and Artistic Director for the Tunis International Film Festival. As a member of the Florida film industry, he is an active board member of the Coral Gables Cinemateque, Florida Film Production Coalition, Digital Media Alliance Florida South Florida Committee and the Camacol Media and Film market. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Miami and St Thomas University.

Barbara Weitz
Director of the Film Studies Certificate Program

Barbara Weitz has been Director of the Film Studies Certificate Program at FIU for the past 10 years and has been teaching there since 1983. She has also been working with the Miami International Film Festival for the past 13 years, serving in many different capacities. Prof. Weitz has served on numerous film festival juries over the years and has assisted with programming at many others. In addition, she has written on film subjects for many publications and has spoken at many conferences. She also has been bringing students to Prague every summer for the past 20 years to study film and literature.

Andrew Nathanson

With 20-plus years in entertainment, Andrew Nathanson freelances in film, concert, and special events as Producer, Production Manager, Location/Stage Manager. He isa published and exhibited photographer, currently working for the Palm Beach Post. Mr. Nathanson spent five years at the Miami-Dade County Film Commission supporting film, TV, photography and other entertainment productions in Miami.Projects he assisted include Bad Boys, starring Will Smith, Any Given Sunday, starring Al Pacino and Dennis Quaid, and Something About Mary, starring Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz.Occasionally he produces concerts, festivals and other special events, including: Jane’s Addiction, Pat Metheny, Robert Cray and Renee Fleming/Russian National Orchestra. He began his entertainment career in Gainesville, Florida, while attending the University of Florida and producing concerts at the same club that launched the career of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Lisa Gottlieb
Associate Professor in the Motion Picture Program
University of Miami

Lisa Gottlieb is a filmmaker, screenwriter and educator. She has directed three award-winning feature films, including:  Just One of the Guys, Cadillac Ranch and Across the Moon, as well as a number of TV episodes. While a student, Lisa wrote, produced and directed the multi-award-winning short filmMurder in a Mist. She recently completed a documentary short, currently playing on the festival circuit, and is preparing to direct her original screenplay for a micro-budget feature comedy in Miami.  Lisa taught directing and developed curriculum at the University of Southern California School of Cinema and Columbia College. She has also taught film at the International School of Cinema/TV in Cuba, Hamburg’s Filmwerkstaad in Germany, the National Film Institute of India and chaired the Film/Video Department of the California State Summer School of the Arts at California Institute of the Arts.
