Brazilian Film Festival: One more year in the USA

The Brazilian Film Festival has established itself for nine consecutive years in Miami. Meanwhile, in New York the Festival has been growing stronger since its inception three years ago.

The route and the growth of the Festivals follow side by side the progress and achievements of the Brazilian film industry, including resources, visibility, showrooms, co-productions, trades, distribution and mainly, new audiences. This is a struggle for all of us who work for the Brazilian Cinema.

The 9th Brazilian Film Festival of Miami has been born! It is strong, healthy and stable. During this anniversary, we will be showcasing around 40 movies, including feature and short films. We are also promoting the Marketplace, a series of panels that will discuss topics such as marketing, distribution and new technology.

The Festival opening will take place on the sands of Miami Beach: the Cinema on the Beach will be on the famous Ocean Drive this year.

We also have the privilege of having Camarote Brahma, a lounge area in the Jackson Gleason Theater reserved for entertainment and leisure, with lots of parties!

Daniel Filho will receive a special homage for his dedication and great contribution to the Brazilian movie industry. A tribute for a person who has had an extremely successful professional career for 53 years.

Bete Mendes will receive the Crystal Lens Golden Award, a tribute from the Festival for her great talent, which makes her a genuine representative of the Brazilian film industry.

We’ll have great surprises at the end of the show: DJs, musicians and performers will transform the award’s night in a show called Electronic Cinema. You just can’t miss it!!
