NEW TECHNOLOGIES: AUDIOVISUAL IN THE INTERNET, MOBILE, AND VIDEOGAMES

The video industry for mobile phones was one of the highlights of the Milia MIPTV 2005, the technology event held recently in Cannes. Milia MIPTV 2005 gathered several companies of distribution, screening, multimedia content creation and representatives of the mobile industry. The event “Made for Mobile” showcased 60 films and programs produced exclusively for cellular phones.

Every day, five billion of music, videos, films and games are downloaded from the Internet. These numbers are impressive and reveal the great potential of interactive Medias, including the videogames. Another impressive number: the total of this content (videos, music, films and games) that travels the Internet is 10 petabytes, equivalent to 830 thousand feature films.

Does this panel propose to think about the current negotiations with producers of images and products? The experience in the Brazilian market. The experience in the U.S. (database, legislation).
